Qatar hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the first such tournament to be held in the Middle East. Trivandi has a long-standing relationship with the Supreme Committee going back to 2013. The scope of our role has been broad and diverse:
Trivandi worked in partnership with Dar Al Handasah to develop the concept and masterplans for the temporary Fan Villages, advising on all aspects of guest experience, operations and on achieving the optimum mix of permanent and temporary infrastructure.
Our team worked with the Supreme Committee on the development of a comprehensive Procurement & Contracting Strategy and associated Implementation Plan.
We provided specialists in global event security programs, operations and risk management to provide governance, program management, and strategic advice across all the security activities required to deliver the tournament.
Trivandi developed a COVID-19 Playbook for the AFC Champions League Final, The Amir’s Cup Final and the FIFA Club World Cup.Trivandi’s work on the test events provided key insights that contributed to the effective delivery of a COVID-safe World Cup tournament.
Volunteer & Workforce Programme
Our team was called upon by the Supreme Committee to produce robust operational plans to manage the Workforce and Volunteers for the tournament. We were responsible for the establishment of the framework to enable the planning, delivery and subsequent monitoring of these key elements of the tournament operations.
Trivandi supported Deloitte to produce the Q22 Experience concepts and business cases for guest experience, incorporating client journeys, activations and other interventions within Qatar.
Policies & Procedures
We worked with the Supreme Committee to analyse and support its policies and procedures and operational readiness programme to provide a gap analysis, project assurance, and consultation on industry best practice to ensure quality, comprehensiveness and competence of planning.
