Trivandi and Global Hospitality Group partner to deliver venue operations at the Australia Pavilion at Expo 2025, Osaka.

The Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs(DFAT) has engaged Trivandi and Global Hospitality Group (GHG) to deliver venue operations at the Australia Pavilion at World Expo 2025, Osaka The two world-leading organisations are partnering to lead the operational management of the pavilion, including guest experience, food, beverage and retail.

Trivandi and GHG will apply their collective, unrivalled experience and expertise from global mega events, including Rugby World Cup 2019, Expo 2020, Expo 2023, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, COP28, additional Expo 2025 pavilion projects, and other major world-class events to provide best-in-class operations management services that deliver on Australia’s vision. Under the theme, “Chasing the Sun”, the Australian pavilion aims to create an immersive and uniquely Australian experience for all visitors, inviting them to discover something new about Australia.

Commissioner General for Australia at World Expo Osaka, Ms Nancy Gordon, said Trivandi and GHG will play a key role in delivering a unique experience for visitors.

“We look forward to working with Trivandi and GHG to strengthen our bilateral relationship with Japan, and to demonstrate to visitors Australia’s unique energy, our talent and creativity, and our stunning natural environment,” said Ms Gordon.

Trivandi will take on the role of Operations Lead for the pavilion. This includes operational planning and integration, protocol, transport, visitor experience, cultural programme integration, security, and cleaning & waste management. Trivandi’s Executive Director of Operations & Delivery Advisory, James TibbettsJames Tibbetts, said:

“We are thrilled DFAT have placed their trust in us to lead the operations for the Australia Pavilion. Trivandi’s mission is to continually improve the delivery and operations of events and venues. We will draw on our knowledge and learnings gained from delivering over 250 major projects in 26 countries, including multiple Expos, government summits, exhibitions and mega events to deliver world-class operations centred on creating meaningful guest experiences that achieve Australia’s overarching vision for Expo 2025.”

GHG will lead the Food, Beverage, VIP Event Catering and Retail, including logistics and uniforms, with a core focus on the use of Australian products to showcase the best of Australia. GHG’s Director, Nicholas Kalogeropoulos, said:

World Expo is one of the oldest and largest international events, held every five years since 1851, and is a global platform for achievement, innovation, collaboration, and cooperation. The next edition will take place in Osaka, Kansai, Japan from 13 April 2025 to 13 October 2025, and Australia will be among more than 150 participating countries and 25 international organisations. Japan’s Expo Association anticipate more than 28 million visitors will come to Expo including more than 3.5 million international visitors.

Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, 'Designing Future Society for our Lives', will focus on developing and adopting best practices from around the world to drive co-creation by the global community in designing a sustainable society that supports social challenges, emerging sciences and evolving technologies.
