Denise Barrett-Baxendale has built a reputation for delivering transformational projects, driving organisational change, and supporting clubs, investors, and stakeholders in achieving sustainable success. She previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Everton Football Club - and the first ever female board member - where she led the organisation through a period of significant change and progression, further strengthening her expertise in leadership, stakeholder engagement, and complex programme delivery within elite football environments.

Throughout her career, Professor Barrett-Baxendale has led several landmark initiatives, most notably playing a central role in the development and delivery of the Hill Dickinson Stadium at Everton Football Club. As Chair of the Stadium Development Company, she oversaw the delivery of one of the most ambitious stadium projects in European football, combining innovative design, regeneration impact, and long-term economic value.  Her leadership helped navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, ensuring the project aligned with both club ambitions and wider civic priorities, leaving a lasting legacy for Liverpool and its communities.
